SND PART 2 - October 6, 2002
People who missed the Stand in the Sand last year feel they missed out on something terrific. The almost 700 who were there want to do it again. So, on Sunday October 6, from noon to 4:00 p.m.., we will again gather on the beach in front of the MDC-MJM Bathhouse take a stand for respect and tolerance and against hate and prejudice.
This year, Hull will be joined by a dozen surrounding communities and their NPFH committees and we will be spelling out THE SOUTH SHORE IS NO PLACE FOR HATE.
If you want to participate you will "STAND" with people wearing the same color shirts as you. If you want a large group to participate call Rhoda Kanet at 781-925-4560 to register your group and choose your shirt color.
The event is free and participants will receive commemorative buttons and free ice cream. Free entertainment begins at 12:00 noon. Gathering for letter formation begins at 2:00 p.m. Helicopter and photo fly over is at 3:00 p.m.
