Scott Sivo ran the meeting as Mike Devine was doing a presentation with Kristen Evans for the 21st Century School Forum.
Mike did come late
1--We reviewed the HHS Mission Statement (proprosal)
Made some suggestions on the language
Will review again
2-- Discussed HHS policies in the School Handbook
What works, what doesn't, areas where we can improve
Suggestions were made

HIGH SCHOOL COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 10, 2009

1.0 Mr. Devine called the meeting to order
2.0 Approval of Agenda: None
3.0 Input from Public on Agenda Items: None
4.0 Approval of Minutes: None
5.0 Business Items
5.1 Reorganization of the Council: Denise Gallagher will remain co-chair. Susan Hanks will be secretary.
5.2 2009-2010 Meeting Schedule: The 3rd Tuesday of the month has been set up until December. Council dates are October 20, November 17 and December 15 at 7:00 PM.
5.3 Updates: Mr. Devine was interested in feedback from the Council pertaining to communication with parents, students, staff and community. The Council was also updated on:
· Sports- There is a fall sports schedule, including JV, with 20% less games in the schedule
· Fees- Fees have been collected. The council needs to look at other towns’ fee structures
· Guidance- A .4 position has been hired to help with seniors. The .6 position is being interviewed and the full time position is still unfilled
· NEASC- A self-study will be done and NEASC is coming November 6-9, 2011.
