Reading
There is no more important way to foster success in the classroom than reading to and with your child. Every child should read for 20 minutes nightly in addition to their homework.
Math
Measurement is a very important part of our math program. It is also one of the simplest ways for students to see how math is used in our daily life. We are learning about perimeters and areas and measuring with rulers to the 1/4 inch. These are skills that need practice. While we often measure things in school, it helps if they have opportunities to measure at home.
Practice, Practice, Practice the multiplication facts.
“Working Together Makes Everyone Shine” The third grade teachers try to promote and encourage each student to participate in a giving and sharing environment. An environment that respects individual differences.
" It takes a village to raise a child ." A collaborative effort of home and school sets the tone for a child to succeed.
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Please review your child’s homework for neatness and accuracy.
